It's tax season again! Here are some reminders to ensure your refund is posted accurately and timely to your METRO account.
Verify the account number provided on the tax return is currently open. Sometimes accounts are closed and the tax preparer was not informed of the change.
Verify that the account number is correct on the tax return. If there are transpositions or an incorrect digit, it may cause refunds to be returned. If the return is going to be deposited into a METRO Checking Account, make sure the account number provided on the tax return has eight digits, and begins with the number 8.

If the return is going to be deposited into a METRO Savings Account, please use your Member Number minus the last 0 (zero).

If the account is in the process of being closed, make sure to include the tax return on the METRO "Authorization to Pay" form. This will ensure the tax return will be deposited to your new METRO account.
